I have also run an Office removal tool to remove all traces of Office and have done a clean install of Office 2016. I started with Office 2013 and have since installed Office 2016. Office 2010 has never been installed on this computer. I can install all other updates as normal but there is a list of Office 2010 updates that persistently show as available.
